Amazon Reviews Exporter is a browser extension developed by AutoGuru that helps users export product reviews from Amazon into CSV or JSON format. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or user information.

The extension operates entirely within your browser. No data is sent to any external server, API, or third-party service. There is no analytics, tracking, telemetry, or advertising of any kind.

Data the Extension Accesses

To function, the extension reads the following data from Amazon product review pages that you visit:

• Review text, titles, and ratings
• Reviewer display names and profile links
• Review dates, countries, and helpfulness counts
• Review photos and video URLs
• Product ASIN identifiers

This data is read only when you actively click the "Export Reviews" button. It is processed locally in your browser and saved directly to your computer as a file. At no point does this data leave your device.

Permissions

The extension requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab — To access the currently open Amazon page when you click the extension icon
• scripting — To read review data from the Amazon page
• tabs — To navigate between review pages during extraction
• storage — To save your settings (delay values, export format) locally in your browser

These permissions are used exclusively for the extension's core functionality. No permission is used to monitor browsing activity, inject ads, or collect data.

Third-Party Services

The extension does not integrate with, connect to, or transmit data to any third-party service. There are no external APIs, servers, databases, or cloud services involved.

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) to remember your preferred settings (such as delay values and export format). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.
